This policy exists to protect Game Hosts who:

• Pay for the pitch in advance 💸 (most venues don’t refund late cancellations)
• Spend time and effort filling the game and keeping teams balanced 🕒

Canceling late puts the Host under pressure to find replacements and risks having uneven or canceled games. Sometimes, Hosts even offer empty spots for free just to keep the game going.
